- Welcome to Hot Diggity Dog Resort
Why do you not allow bully-breed dogs? First of all, we love all dogs and have had wonderful experiences with bully breeds. Unfortunately, several years ago, our insurer told us that we would no longer be able to have bully breeds come to our facility.
What is required to have my dog boarded overnight? Dogs must pass a temperament assessment before boarding or participating in daycare. They should be spayed or neutered after 8 months of age, enjoy the company of other dogs and people, and be current on vaccinations including Bordetella, Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies. Dogs with aggressive behaviors or bite history, as well as bully breeds, are not eligible for overnight boarding or daycare services, as per insurance restrictions. Additionally, anyone wishing to bring their dog in for boarding must complete a "Daycare Registration Form." When this form is completed, it will be evaluated by the boarding group and approved for a temperament evaluation. The dog is then brought in for a play day and assessed. The assessment looks at the play style of the dog, how the dog reacts around other dogs and humans, how the dog acts when given treats or food when humans or other dogs are around, etc. Once the evaluation is done, the client will be given a written evaluation. Once approved, the dog is approved for boarding and daycare. Prior to boarding, a Food and Medication form must be completed. This is required so that we will know what to feed, when to feed, how much to feed, and whether or not the medication is needed.
Do I need to call in every time to book boarding? No, you can fill out a boarding request form online. Realize this is just a request. Our office will check availability and get back to you to verify that there is space available and that everything, IE vaccinations, is current to book boarding.

These programs integrate training sessions into the regular daycare or boarding schedule, allowing dogs to learn and socialize simultaneously. They can even help dogs work towards AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy or Canine Good Citizen certifications, which are available for an additional cost. A temperament assessment is required before starting these programs to ensure suitability.

What are the benefits of the L.E.E.P. program? The Life Enrichment Education Program (L.E.E.P.) at Hot Diggity Dog Resort focuses on enhancing a dog's stay by providing structured activities that promote physical and mental stimulation. This program can be purchased in two forms: A) "by the day" for dogs that do not regularly come for daycare, as they are with us for boarding. And B) recurring billing for dogs that regularly come to daycare and attend LEEP each time. The program, whether in boarding or in daycare, is credited for improving their overall well-being and behavior
Should I bring my dog's own food and medication? Yes, it is necessary that owners bring their dog's regular food and any necessary medications. There are too many brands of dog food for the resort to furnish all varieties. The resort has specific protocols to ensure that each dog receives their appropriate diet and that medications are administered as required. Owners must fill out a Boarding Food and Medication Form prior to their dog's stay.
